First Time in Luxembourg🇱🇺?(3)

📝 Attractions ❶ Gëlle Fra (Golden Lady Statue) A memorial to the soldiers who died in World War II. The statue itself is quite small, but there are lots of playgrounds for kids around it. 🌟 ❷ National Museum of History and Art Closed on Mondays, but free for anyone under 26. The A section has five underground floors with artifacts from Roman times. The ground and first floors have some exhibitions (ticket required) and a coin exhibition. The third floor features works by old masters, and the fourth floor has modern and contemporary art. I even saw some paintings by Victor Hugo—the lighting was great! Note that the elevators are split into left and right; the left one goes to the first floor, which is the exit. 🎨 ❸ Notre-Dame Cathedral A 17th-century Gothic Revival church. The interior is stunning, with gilded decorations, alabaster statues in the altar, and Arabic-style carvings on the walls. Opening hours can be a bit unpredictable, so it's best to visit on weekdays from 8-10am or 2-5pm, or on Sunday mornings. 🕍 ❹ Grand Ducal Palace Only open during the summer. When we visited in May, it was still closed. 🏰 ❺ Pont du Grund A beautiful viewpoint where you can see the Adolphe Bridge (Pont Adolphe) from a distance. If you walk up the road on the other side, you'll pass De Gudde Wëllen, a cozy bar on the hillside with great views. The first picture I posted was taken from here. Keep walking, and you'll reach the Bock Casemates, a fortress with underground tunnels and a gallery complex. 🌉 #Luxembourg #Europe
