🌸 First-Time Japan Free Travel: Ultimate Guide
Here's a comprehensive travel guide for those visiting Japan for the first time, covering routes, seasons, time allocation, and more! 🚶 Route Suggestions: ✔ Osaka - Nara - Kyoto - Uji - Tokyo ✔ This route goes from west to east without backtracking. You'll experience the traditional essence of Japan in the Kansai cities, with plenty of time for shopping in Tokyo. 🍃 Season Choice: I went at the end of June to early July, during Japan's rainy season. The rain didn't affect my trip much, and it was actually quite cool. Some attractions are even more atmospheric in the rain. Personally, I think Japan is suitable for travel all year round, unless you're very sensitive to heat or cold. However, I don't recommend visiting Kansai and Kyoto from late July to August as it's very hot and typhoon-prone. 🔛 Time Allocation: ✅ Day 1: Osaka Arrive in Osaka from Beijing and check into the hotel. Kuromon Market (lots of food options) Shinsaibashi Shopping Street (a very long shopping street, great for shopping) Dotonbori (classic Glico Man spot, lively night cruise boats) ✅ Day 2: Osaka Osaka Castle Park (Osaka Castle, a Conan spot) Nanba Yasaka Shrine (Lion God Shrine) Tsutenkaku (a super anime place with lots of delicious food) Umeda Hankyu Department Store (a huge shopping complex) Umeda Sky Building (the best night view spot in Osaka) ✅ Day 3: Osaka Universal Studios Japan (the Nintendo area is worth a visit, feels like stepping into the Mario world) ✅ Day 4: Nara It takes about 40 minutes from Osaka to Nara by JR. Nara Park, Wakakusa Mountain, Kasuga Grand Shrine, Todaiji Temple, etc. A day surrounded by cute deer is super blissful (check my profile for a detailed one-day guide to Nara) ✅ Day 5: Uji It's very convenient to go from Nara to Uji. There are coin and cash-only lockers at JR Uji Station. Matcha lovers must stop by Uji, which has lots of matcha and many小众 scenic spots, incredibly beautiful! Byodoin Uji Bridge Take the JR to Kyoto 🙈 Continued in Part 2!
