First Time Leaving a Michelin Restaurant Feeling Full!❗️

🍴 Restaurant Konstantin Filippou 📍 Dominikanerbastei 17, 1010 Wien A Michelin-starred restaurant specializing in seafood, where almost every dish from the appetizers to the main course features seafood. The menu offers a choice of 7-9 courses. This time, I opted for the 8-course menu, with pigeon as the main course. The standout experience was the fast service; it felt like there was hardly any waiting time between dishes. 🌷 The restaurant’s decor is entirely black, from the waitstaff’s attire to the table linens and furniture. In the summer, there were quite a few small flying insects. 📌 Appetizers The first dish, oysters🦪, was the least enjoyable for me due to their strong, fishy taste. The second and third dishes, mackerel and red shrimp, were much better. The red shrimp was particularly delicious, with a sweet taste and a layer of custard at the bottom. 🍞 After the appetizers, bread was served with butter and olive oil. The butter was incredibly fragrant, homemade with roasted onions and rosemary. The Greek olive oil was also delightful, with a non-greasy texture. 📌 Main Course Each main course incorporates Asian elements. There was caviar with Japanese rice paste and fried brown rice. The highlight was the pigeon, which wasn’t my favorite; the meat was undercooked, and I’m not accustomed to eating it that way. However, the accompanying black truffle sauce was interesting. The best part of the dish was the bread next to the pigeon! I’d give it a perfect score💯—it was incredibly aromatic, crispy, and buttery. 📌 Desserts There were five desserts in total. The first one, apricot, was the best with its sweet and tangy flavor. The subsequent desserts were all chocolate-based, prepared in different ways. 🍪 As we left, we were given a box of small biscuits and a copy of the day’s menu as a keepsake, which was a thoughtful touch. #Vienna #ViennaCuisine #Seafood #MichelinRestaurantReview #Michelin #TwoStarMichelin #FoodieDaily
