Address: 830W 7th Ave, Eugene, OR 97402 As a traveler wandering around Eugene, I searched Yelp for the spot with the most reviews and highest ratings 🌟—and surprisingly, it turned out to be this cozy, super American-style fish and chips joint! I hesitated for a second, but finally decided to give it a try. 🏠 The place is tiny—more like a cute roadside spot than a big restaurant. When we got there, there were only about 3 indoor tables and 4-6 outdoor ones. I was low-key shocked at first:“Is this really the top-rated spot on Yelp?!” 🤩 Turns out, yes it is! We ended up waiting in line to order, and even though the space is small, every table was full—so pro tip: you might need to grab a seat first before queuing up. We ordered Fish & Chips: one Captain’s Platter and a side of Oysters. Important note: If you get the oysters, make sure to ask them NOT to deep-fry them! Their oysters are incredibly fresh—they just gave them a quick pan-sear, and they were absolute perfection, total YYDS (the best of the best) 😍😍😍 🌟 Their waffle fries deserve a shoutout too! I’m a total Chick-fil-A fan and usually swear by their waffle fries… but these were just as good! Crispy, seasoned perfectly, and so flavorful—they had me hooked 🥔 🌟 The biggest surprise, though, was their beer! The guy working there was super friendly—he handed us generous little samples to try before we ordered. We went with two of his recommendations, and they were so delicious! If you’re a beer lover, you definitely don’t want to skip this part. Last but not least, let’s talk about the service—everyone was so nice! They patiently explained each dish, gave great suggestions, and had such a warm, welcoming vibe. Most of the diners there were locals too, which says a lot.
