Florence's Century-Old Tripe Sandwich

Back in Florence Again! I've been to Florence several times but never got to try the famous tripe sandwich. I always read that the one in the Central Market was the most famous and delicious, but unfortunately, it closes at 3 p.m. 😔☹️🥺 This time, I met a friend who studies in Florence. She said there are many good places for tripe sandwiches in the city. She took me to her No. 1 spot, which is also in the city center, not far from the Florence Cathedral. The place is called Osteria Nuvoli , a small tavern with a lot of wine stored inside. There are a few small tables outside. In the late afternoon, most people there are locals enjoying red wine and chatting. The menu is simple, with local snacks that are all reasonably priced. It's really a great value.😍😍😍 Without a local friend, I wouldn't have discovered this place. The tripe sandwich is incredibly delicious! The tripe is cooked very soft and tender, and it goes perfectly with the green sauce and chili sauce. The bread is not too hard and is easy to bite into. The chili sauce is optional and has a slightly sweet flavor, not too spicy.❤️❤️❤️ You can also order the tripe separately, which is very flavorful and would definitely be delicious on its own. I'll definitely come back for more next time! The price is €4 per sandwich, which is very reasonable and worth every cent. My friend said there are many tripe sandwiches in Florence, but some have bread that is so hard it's difficult to bite into. This one is truly delicious! It's also delicious 😉 In my opinion, it's similar to Chinese "lu Zhu" (stewed offal) or Roujiamo (Chinese hamburger), which is also stewed for a long time and very flavorful.
