Florence · Western Cuisine | Benedetta Ristorante 🌟

After a day of shopping in the city center, I passed by this restaurant and saw Michelin stickers all over the window, so I went in without a reservation to give it a try. For our appetizers, we ordered three dishes. One was a smoked duck breast 🦆, which was quite unique and not commonly seen in the classic Tuscan cuisine. It was paired with candied purple cabbage, and this is one of the must-order dishes! Another was a beef tartare, and the chef paired it with a fried egg yolk 🥚, which had a great texture! There was also whiskey-marinated trout with avocado 🥑 mayonnaise, and you could see that the fresh sashimi and marinated trout were well integrated. For our first main course, we had beet risotto and crispy leek pasta with octopus, both of which had a well-balanced flavor and were safe choices. For the meat dishes, we ordered a 1.2kg T-bone steak 🥩 with garlic spinach, roasted lamb chops with blueberry 🫐 sauce, which were quite generous for a Michelin restaurant with four chops, and a rather special dish of pork slices with bacon and ginger-flavored pumpkin puree. The pumpkin puree perfectly neutralized the greasiness of the pork, and all the second courses were well-executed with innovative touches. For dessert, we had chocolate 🍫 brownie, berry panna cotta, and pumpkin ice cream. The biggest surprise for me was a whiskey-soaked pear 🍐, served with white chocolate sauce and almond slices. The pear was hollowed out, so there was no need to worry about biting into the core. Price per person: 40€+ 💶 #Florence #WeekendExploration #WesternCuisine #FlorenceFood #MichelinRestaurant #MichelinRestaurantExploration #FlorenceMichelinRestaurant
