Florence ๐ฎ๐น | Super Delicious Cicchetti ๐ at the Central Market
A visit to Florence is incomplete without exploring the Central Market (Mercato Centrale). I call it the must-try list of Tuscan flavors! ๐ I love browsing European markets where every vendor carefully displays their goods. Stalls are filled with fresh produce, cheeses, hams, olive oils, and handmade pasta. You can enjoy local specialties all in one place without having to go from place to place. ๐ ๐ง - Ground Floor : Traditional Fresh Market Fresh fruits and vegetables, cheeses, hams, and olive oils, plus seasonal truffles and porcini mushrooms, and a colorful array of sauces. Highly recommend the Florentine specialty, lampredotto (tripe sandwich)! The ones from the century-old shop Nerbone are tender and rich in flavor. ๐ - Second Floor : Foodie's Paradise ๐ฅฐ Must-try Venetian cicchetti: bite-sized bread with seafood, cheese, and salad. The flavors are amazingโpickled anchovies are salty and rich, octopus with basil pesto and Russian salad, caviar with salmon and cheese, and daily creations. The place to go is POLIZIANO, located upstairs, turn right and go inside! ๐ ๐ Fried seafood is incredibly delicious! Various types of shrimp and squid. There's also freshly grilled Florentine T-bone steak, wood-fired pizza, truffle pasta, and Sicilian arancini (fried rice balls). The food court operates on a self-service ordering system, with long communal tables. They also offer cooking classes where you can learn to make pasta, pizza, and other Italian dishes. ๐๐ - Operating Hours : Ground Floor Fresh Market: Monday to Saturday 8:00-14:00 Second Floor Food Court: Daily 8:00-24:00 - Special Experiences : In addition to the food, be cautious of the leather stalls in the outdoor area around the market. Low-priced items may not be made in Italy. - Facilities : Free restrooms and mobile phone charging stations are available on the second floor (though some may be out of order). #JustGo #Italy #ItalyTravel #ItalianCuisine #ItalianFood #BeautifulMeals #Florence #FlorenceTravel #FlorenceCuisine #Europe #TravelSupportPlan #InDepthTravelTips #GlobalFoodieSquad #EatingIsTheMainThing #WorldCupOfFoodReviewers
