Florence steak + the best tartare.
This trip, my husband was most looking forward to the Florentine Steak. Beforehand, and found mixed reviews about this placeβsome said it was delicious, while others claimed the one next door was better. When I checked the reviews for the neighboring restaurant, I also found some negative comments. It just goes to show that tastes vary haha. But in the end, our whole family loved it!π₯©π₯©π₯© The main event, the steakβBistecca alla Fiorentina πππππ We ordered a 1.5kg steak based on recommendations, which was a bit too much for six people (I have digestion issues and could only eat a small piece). We went for medium-rare as suggested, and it was tender, flavorful, and not dry at all. We also had: - Beef tartare with burrata and black truffle πππππ We could see the kitchen staff mixing the seasonings into the beef. Paired with soft burrata cheese and the aroma of black truffle, it was amazing. My family said it was the best tartare they've ever had. The portion was generous, though a bit pricey at β¬30 per serving. But it was definitely enough to share and satisfy everyone's cravings! - Carbonara gnocchi πππ Since we hadn't had carbonara elsewhere, this version was just okay. It didn't leave a strong impression. - Cold cut platter ππππ It was decent, served with jam and honey, along with some bread. The cheese was also quite good. If you're in a group, it's a nice appetizer to share. - Buchetta πππ Just three pieces, quite ordinary, nothing memorable. It served as a simple appetizer to share. We also added a side saladπ₯ No dressing, just some greens to have a bit of vegetables. It was β¬7 for a small plate. We booked in advance on The Fork and got a 20% discount. In the end, the per-person cost was around β¬30-35. I would definitely come back for their tartare! #Florence #FlorenceTravel #FlorenceCuisine #FlorenceSteak #Manzo #Italy #ItalyTravel #FlorentineSteak
