Florida 7-Day Miami Trip

Spring break is the perfect time to escape to sunny Florida! Orlando and Miami make an unbeatable combo, and the best part? You can do it all without a rental car! 🚗❌ We traveled between the two cities by train (just 3.5 hours), and everything else was within a 20-minute Uber/Lyft ride. Perfect for those who don't want to drive or don't have a license! Day 1: Arrival in Orlando ✈️ 📍 Vineland Premium Outlets Kick off your trip with some retail therapy! This outlet mall has great deals on designer brands. 🥘 Pirates Dinner Adventure An interactive dinner show with swashbuckling pirates, acrobatics, and a full meal. It's a fun, family-friendly experience! 🏨 Rosen Inn The rooms are spacious, but the hotel is showing its age. We noticed wrinkled and torn bed sheets, and the bathroom had an unpleasant odor. Not the most luxurious stay, but it gets the job done. Day 2: Sea World Adventure 🐬 Since we'd already done Disney and Universal on previous trips, we opted for Sea World this time. Major perk: way fewer crowds and almost no lines! If it's your first time in Orlando, you could swap this day for Disney or Universal. 📍 Sea World Highly recommended! 🎢 This park offers the best of both worlds: thrilling roller coasters (both sit-down and stand-up!) AND incredible animal shows. You get the adrenaline rush plus the educational/entertainment value of seeing dolphins, orcas, and more. 🥘 World's Largest McDonald's This isn't your average Mickey D's! They serve pasta, pizza, and other unique menu items alongside the classics. Day 3: Volcano Bay Water Park 💦 📍 Volcano Bay (Universal's Water Park) This place is insanely fun and intense! The water slides are next-level thrilling. Pro tip: bring your own towel to save money. We went in early March, and while the air was a bit chilly, the water was warm enough to enjoy. The park has plenty of lounge chairs on the sandy beach area—perfect for warming up in the sun between rides. 🥘 Kohola Reef Restaurant Located in the beach area of the park. Their curry chicken rice and burgers are delicious fuel for a day of water fun. Day 4: Train to Miami 🚄 🚄 Brightline Train: Orlando → Miami The Orlando station is small and located near the airport. The train ride is comfortable and takes about 3.5 hours. 📍 Little Havana Immerse yourself in Cuban culture! Stroll through the colorful streets, listen to live music, and soak up the vibrant atmosphere. Must-try spots: Sanguich Little Havana (for amazing Cuban sandwiches), La Colada (for authentic Cuban coffee), and Azucar Ice Cream (for unique tropical flavors). 📍 Brickell City Centre A massive, semi-outdoor shopping mall that feels just like malls back home. Great selection of brands and a nice place to escape the heat. 🌅 South Beach Heads up: the actual beach closes at 6 PM! But the area around Ocean Drive comes alive at night with restaurants, bars, and a lively party scene. 🥘 Alma Cubana Delicious Cuban cuisine. 🍹 Oceans Ten Great spot for drinks with ocean views. 🏨 President Hotel South Beach The rooms are spacious and the beds are super comfortable. However, the amenities are pretty basic and the hotel feels a bit dated. Day 5: Art, Design & Dessert 🎨 📍 Vizcaya Museum & Gardens A stunning waterfront estate with European-inspired architecture and lush gardens. Perfect for photos! 📍 Wynwood Walls An outdoor museum showcasing incredible street art and graffiti. The entire Wynwood neighborhood is covered in colorful murals. 🥘 Manta Great spot for lunch or dinner. 📍 Design District A chic neighborhood with high-end boutiques, art galleries, and modern architecture. 🍨 Aubi & Ramsa A unique ice cream shop that serves alcoholic ice cream! 🍸🍦 📍 Lincoln Road A pedestrian-only shopping street that's less crowded than Ocean Drive. You'll even find a Miniso store here! 🍨 I Scream Gelato More delicious frozen treats to end the day. Day 6: Beach Day & Seafood 🏖️ 📍 South Beach Walk from north to south along the famous white sand beach. The people-watching is top-tier! 🥘 Joe's Stone Crab A Miami institution! Famous for their fresh stone crab claws (seasonal). 📍 South Pointe Beach A quieter section of South Beach with a pier and great views. 🥘 Nettuno Another excellent seafood option. Day 7: Fly Home ✈️ Time to head back to reality! Miami International Airport is easily accessible by Uber/Lyft. 💡 Key Takeaways: No car needed: Brightline train + rideshares make this itinerary completely doable without a rental. Orlando alternatives: If it's your first time, swap Days 2-3 for Disney or Universal parks. Beach timing: South Beach closes at 6 PM, but Ocean Drive is lively at night. Food highlights: Don't miss the Cuban food in Little Havana and the stone crab at Joe's. This itinerary gives you the perfect mix of theme park thrills, cultural experiences, beach relaxation, and city exploration—all without the stress of driving! #US #Florida #Miami
