Food Discovery 03 – A Surprise Around the Corner 🎉

📍 Drago's 2 Poydras St, Hilton New Orleans Riverside, New Orleans, LA 70140 (Couldn’t remember the exact dish names, so I used the ones from the receipt!) 🍴 Appetizer 1) Gator Nuggets Alligator meat tastes a bit like chicken, but a bit drier and chewier. The dipping sauce was just regular salad dressing. Still, gator is worth trying! 👌🏿 BTW, you could tell the oil had been reused quite a few times… Rating: 3.5/5 🌟 2) 1/2 Dozen Char-Grilled Oysters The grilled oysters were absolutely incredible! 🦪 I’d give the oysters themselves a solid 5/5. Personally, I think they’re way better than grilled oysters I’ve had elsewhere. But the bread served with it was pretty similar to Red Fish Grill’s. Rating: 4.5/5 🌟 3) Raw Oysters No need for many words—just top quality and super fresh! Rating: 5/5 🌟 🍴 Entrees Lobster Marco The noodles cooked with garlic butter from the grilled oysters? Absolutely divine! But the dish as a whole was just okay. Paired with the grilled oysters, though—it’s a winning combo! Rating: 3.5/5 🌟 🍴 Dessert Bread Pudding It was decent, a bit more refined than your average version. But I’ve never been a huge bread pudding fan to begin with. It came with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but honestly… After trying yesterday’s amazing ice cream (the part without chocolate sauce), this one just didn’t compare.
