Food Guide for Acadia National Park, Maine
Another dish from the same restaurant—it was just so-so, nothing special. 🌟 Jordon Pond Ice Cream Highly recommended! Both the peach and blueberry flavors are great. Pro tip: Try the blueberry flavor first—its taste is relatively light, so if you eat other flavors first, the blueberry one might seem less impressive afterward. 🌟 2 Cats (in Bar Harbor) Strongly recommend this spot! The decor is very stylish, with a mix of French and Southern US vibes. There are no real misses for brunch here. Their lobster omelette and lobster benedict are signature dishes, but the other items people ordered at neighboring tables also looked delicious. I only heard about how amazing Maine’s blueberries are after arriving, so I’d been wanting to try blueberry pancakes. The ones I had at a spot in Portland were just okay, but the blueberry pancakes here are packed with blueberry flavor—they’re even better with a drizzle of maple syrup! The house-made chili sauce that comes with the meal is also tasty—I even bought a bottle to take home. 🌟 Thirsty Whale This place has a great vibe and is also located in Bar Harbor. The servers are really witty and love to joke around. It’s a lifesaver on late nights when almost all other restaurants are closed! ❌ That "Just Okay" Breakfast Spot in Portland It’s a very local spot with a nice vibe, but the food itself is mediocre. 🌟 Lobster Shack Restaurant We made a special trip to this restaurant—it’s always busy, so you’ll probably have to wait in line. We went specifically to eat whole lobsters. It’s right by the sea, so the dining environment is lovely. The only downside: whole lobsters are really hard to crack, and the tools they provide aren’t very easy to use. But the lobsters are super fresh—they’re boiled in seawater, letting the natural flavor shine. It’s totally worth making a detour for! #RestaurantRecommendations #SoDelicious #Maine #PortlandMaineFood #Lobster #BarHarborFood #AcadiaNationalPark
