Food Plog: Street Food in Copenhagen

Restaurant Tight 📍Hyskenstræde 10, 1207 København, Denmark 💰300+ DKK My first stop in the Nordic journey 🇩🇰 Copenhagen, Denmark I felt like I was going to starve in Denmark. It seemed like a culinary desert with nothing but croissants and sandwiches. On the last night before leaving, I found a restaurant that stayed open late in the street.🍣 Starter: 89 kr Main Course: 189 kr Dessert: 89 kr The wine list had even more options than the menu. Overall, it was pretty good.🐷 Dishes I tried:😋 🇩🇰 Chestnut, Oyster Mushrooms, and Truffle The combination of mushrooms and truffle butter was perfect. 🇩🇰 BBQ Baby Back Ribs The ribs were quite tasty and the meat fell off the bone easily. 🇩🇰 Pumpkin Wheatotto I ordered this thinking it was risotto, but it was a bit different. The rice was chewier and there were lots of ingredients in it. Who says Denmark is a culinary desert? This place is really delicious!🍣 The average cost per person is around 250+ DKK, plus about 10% for a tip (I’m not sure if it’s optional, but it seems to be the norm). It might feel a bit pricey, especially if you’re on a tight budget. But considering that a bottle of water can cost over 20 DKK in Denmark, this might just be the average price level here. I ordered one starter, one main course, one dessert, and a drink, 😋and none of them disappointed! (The dishes I ordered are shown in the last photo.)🐷 I highly recommend the surf and turf main course! Although it costs an additional 75 DKK, it’s worth it because there’s plenty of food and it’s really tasty. It comes with shrimp, steak, and sweet potato fish and crab dumplings (which I absolutely loved! They reminded me of the oily rice cakes and fried dumplings from China, but with a softer and smoother filling).🍣 The starter I had was white asparagus with shrimp. It wasn’t super impressive at first bite, but after a few mouthfuls, I found it really fragrant. The white asparagus was perfectly cooked—crispy and tender.😋 For dessert, I had cheesecake with a chocolate base, and it came with raspberries and other slightly sour fruits to balance out the richness of the cheesecake. It was a perfect ending to the meal!🐷 #CopenhagenFood #FoodieDiary #NordicTravel #CopenhagenEats
