🤠 Fort Worth Stockyards – A True Wild West Experience!
On Saturday noon, I took an Uber from downtown Fort Worth to the Stockyards—it only cost a little over $6 and took about 15 minutes! 🚗💨 I got dropped off at this address: 140 E Exchange Ave, Fort Worth, TX 76164, United States From there, it’s easy to just wander and explore! 🧭 “Stockyards” literally means livestock pens—it’s where Western cowboys kept their animals, especially the famous Longhorn cattle 🐂. On Saturdays, there are free activities like experiencing ranch life and cattle drive demonstrations—super fun and family-friendly! 👨👩👧👦 Fun fact: Fort Worth began around 150 years ago when cowboys settled here along the trail. That’s why it’s known as “Cowtown” and preserved as a historic site today. 📜🤠 The whole street is filled with country music 🎵, and everyone—men, women, kids, seniors—is wearing cowboy hats, swaying to the rhythm as they stroll. Shops are packed with hats: factory-made ones start around $100, while custom handmade ones (shaped to fit your head!) can range from $400 to over $1,000! 👒💸 A perfect place to soak up real Texas culture! #FortWorth #Stockyards #CowboyCulture #TexasTravel #WildWest #LonghornCattle #DallasFortWorth #TravelUSA #WesternVibes 🐎🌵✨
