Four Days & Three Nights of Food in Denver ā A Tasty Diary
š½ļø Alma Fonda Fina Missed it last time in Denver but tried its sister spot Cozobi in Boulder ā totally opened my eyes to Mexican fine dining š®āØ. This time, snagged a 2 PM reservation ā did not disappoint! Highlights: Braised short rib ā fall-apart tender, with rich beef broth, rancho cream, and pickled onions š„© Lamb shank ā super flavorful and soft; our server kindly refilled our sourdough tortillas Sweet potato ā sweet, savory, spicy, with house cream ā addictive! š š Sap Sua Modern Vietnamese fine dining ā relaxed, great for sharing small plates over drinks šø. Shrimp cake & scrambled egg ā umami explosion to start Hamachi collar ā with bonito flakes and chimichurri ā rich and savory š Pork collar ā classic lemongrass flavor, comforting and aromatic š Charred cabbage ā smoky with anchovy depth š„¬ Everything was consistent and creative ā you could probably order blind from the menu! š§ Safta (Second Visit) The lamb ragu remains legendary ā especially with their wood-fired pita fresh from the oven š„. The server remembered Iād been before and gave us the same table ā plus a complimentary whipped feta with balsamic ā tangy, creamy, perfect š. Branzino ā crispy skin, tender flesh, with roasted peppers and garlic ā so fresh and flavorful . šŖ The 9th Door A decent tapas spot ā not bad, but not memorable either . š„ Izzio A longtime favorite inside Denver Market ā pastries are creative and beautiful, but turned out $15 for a Le Bar ā definitely a pricey surprise . š„ LoDough Last time the passionfruit croissant wowed me; this time it was the blackberry and sage ā seasonal flavors are truly the best! š¤š #Denver #DenverFood #DenverEats #DenverRestaurants #DenverMichelin #MexicanFood #FineDining #FoodDiary #TravelEats #FoodieHeaven šļø
