LoDough Bakery — Restaurant in Denver

LoDough Bakery is a required stop for me when in downtown Denver. I’m sure to get there around 9:45 or so as a line begins to form in preparation for their opening. My kids sometimes have a difficult time deciding on what they’d like yet the staff and even the customers behind us have never once made us feel rushed which I’m appreciative of. This bakery looks like something from a different time, there is an artisan approach not just to literally every single item for sale but even the presentation. It opens to an alleyway with tons of seating and a few open air art pieces which is a nice change of pace from the busy streets. My first visit to the Dairy Block and I'd call it a win! I'm headed back for dinner tonight and hope it will live up to my experience at LoDough. Great baked goods and extremely friendly service.

I had a potato and onion croissant and a blueberry scone today. This is exactly the type of bakery I've been looking for in Denver. I've found a few others that have the variety and quality, but LoDough is located near Milk Market and the alley is a perfect place to sit and enjoy great baked goods. It paired nicely with a latte from Huckleberry Roasters, just inside Milk Market.

I was so impressed with the croissant that I pre-ordered an apple pie to take to my hosts at Thanksgiving.

UPDATE (original post below): The bakery contacted me after my initial review and made a genuine, much appreciated effort to make things right after the double charging error. I rarely post reviews on Google so I’m not sure how many businesses take the time to respond but LoDough did so hats off to them. As I mentioned in my initial review, the key lime cookies I bought were very tasty and I do intend on returning to see what else they have.
