French Countryside Church Hotel in New Orleans ⛪️
I visited NOLA during the recent holiday and stayed at Peter & Paul — only after checking in did I realize it’s also part of the Ace Hotel Group! Back in 2019, I stayed at their Siren Hotel in Detroit (highly recommend it too 🏙️). What’s amazing is how they preserve the unique character of each city while blending it seamlessly with their own aesthetic vision. Peter & Paul used to be a church and convent, and the space still carries that serene, historic atmosphere. 🍮🍹 The renovated hotel features an adorable restaurant called The Elysian Bar — which, in my opinion, is the most thoughtfully designed area on the property. Honestly, the hotel lobby felt a bit plain in comparison! ⛪️🧘🏻♀️ In the church area, they collaborate with the local yoga community NOLA Vibe Yoga during the day. You can experience morning flows inside the chapel — and during Shavasana, lying on your mat while gazing up at the high chapel ceiling and stained-glass windows… that moment of stillness makes you feel like the light and air around you have almost solidified. Truly a spiritual experience! ✨ (Check their social media for the latest schedule 📅) 🛏️🗝️ They offer several room types in different color themes. Since I love red, I specifically requested a red room — and it turned out to be a loft-style space, so charming!! It fulfilled my childhood dream of living in a cozy attic, just like those illustrated house cross-sections from elementary school English textbooks. So warm and secure 🥹 Have you ever stayed in a hotel that felt like stepping into a dream?
