Friendly Neighbourhood Vibes & Warm, Attentive Service! 🍣
We visited for dinner on a Sunday evening. It wasn’t too busy, which gave us plenty of space to soak in the cool, authentic atmosphere. The interior decor is stylish yet cozy—we were seated in a comfortable booth for four, and I especially loved the call button on the table—such a simple but genius touch! 🔘 🍱 Let’s Talk Food! We ordered a real feast for two adults and two kids 🧑🤝🧑👧👦: Starters: Edamame, Chicken Gyoza, Crispy Prawn Tempura 🍤 Mains & Specialties: Sushi Tacos 🌮, Fried Cheese Nigiri, Assorted Classic Nigiri, Tuna Sashimi, Red Dragon Roll 🍣, and Chicken Katsu Curry 🍛 Desserts: Yuzu Mousse 🍊 & Matcha Crepe 🍵 👌 The Standouts & The Okay In general, the food was solid—but some dishes truly shined: Prawn Tempura: So light and crispy—perfect batter! Fried Cheese Nigiri: Surprisingly delicious—cheesy, warm, and satisfying Classic Nigiri: Fresh and well-made Chicken Katsu Curry: Comforting and full of flavour Yuzu Mousse: Tart, refreshing, and our favourite dessert! Matcha Crepe: Thin, delicate, and a must-try for matcha lovers The gyoza were okay, but the tuna sashimi was the only letdown—not as fresh as we hoped. 💁 Service with a Smile The staff were warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive 😊. The food came out quickly—maybe a bit too fast for some—but everything felt smooth and well-organized. 💰 Price Point & Vibe The total bill came to £186, with £37 spent on drinks. For a filling, enjoyable dinner in a cool setting, the price felt fair for the area. 🍴 How It Compares This place reminded me a lot of Kampai, located at the other end of High Street Ken. While Kampai’s decor is less polished, both offer similar food quality and pricing. In my opinion, either is a great choice for a casual Japanese meal in the neighbourhood! #NeighbourhoodEats #JapaneseFood #LondonRestaurants #FamilyDinner #WarmService
