🌟 From North Carolina to South Carolina: Asheville
A perfect two-day, one-night weekend trip! 【Day 1: Asheville】 We hit the road in the morning and arrived by noon—just in time for lunch 🥘. We chose a Spanish restaurant that’s highly recommended on Xiaohongshu (though personally, I found it just okay—full food review coming in the next post!). 🚶🏻♀️ Spent the afternoon strolling around the small town—literally just wandering aimlessly (and even ran into a lively parade!). The town is full of quirky, cute shops 👛🎭. Perfect for girls who love to explore—it’s basically “city walk” mode. I bought a cute fridge magnet as a souvenir (each store has unique designs, so pick your favorite!). Dog sightings everywhere 🐕❤️—so heartwarming! In short: Asheville is great for slow, casual exploration. If you have time, check out the museums and art galleries too! 【Day 2: South Carolina’s Most Beautiful Chapel】 ⛪️ Pretty Place Chapel 📍 100 YMCA Camp Rd, Cleveland, SC 29635 Drove about 1 hour after lunch (we originally wanted to catch sunrise🌅, but the forecast was cloudy, so we skipped). When we arrived, it wasn’t too crowded—great for taking photos 📸. Later, more people showed up for sunset. We even witnessed a surprise proposal! 💍💗 “I WILL LIFT UP MY EYES TO THE HILLS…” —You’ll see this Bible verse engraved on the beam as you enter. So iconic. The chapel is very quiet; everyone speaks softly. A great place to just sit and daydream 🧘✨. If you can, definitely try to come for sunrise or sunset! PS: Check their website beforehand—sometimes the chapel is closed for private weddings. And yes, you can even host your own wedding here! 👰♀️🤵♂️ 🏠 Accommodation: 📍 Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Asheville Tunnel We stayed at this Marriott in Asheville—it has a small pool and hot tub 🏊♀️💦. I took a quick swim! Clean, comfy, and breakfast was good too. #TravelDiary #Asheville #PrettyPlaceChapel #NorthCarolina #SouthCarolina #WeekendGetaway
