Fukuoka Half-Day Tour Tips πΏ
π© Transportation Plan Ahead: Use Google Maps to plan your route in advance. π’π The route I tested can be completed with just enough time between each spot. Each attraction is about 40 minutes apart, so if possible, take the subway instead of the bus! πΈπ Avoid Traffic: Afternoon traffic can be severe. ππΏ Even if the bus tracker shows it has arrived, it might not be there yet, which can be quite frustrating... π© Tenjin Shrine Free Admission: The shrine is open until 7 PM and is definitely worth a visit! The grounds are beautifully landscaped and very serene. I arrived in the evening, and there were very few people. πΈπ I bought a plum branch cake (with sweet red bean filling) from the shopping street in front of the shrineβit was delicious! You can also see a unique wooden Starbucks store. ππΏ Cultural Experience: I saw a blessing performance at Tenjin Shrine, which is mainly known for academic success. π π© Owl Cafe Tenjin Not a Hotspot: Since I love owls π¦ and saw someone had visited, I booked a time slot online. π’π I chatted with the owner in broken English until closing time. Booking Tips: Search for the cafΓ©'s name on the website to make a reservation. π’π You can drop by without a reservation, but you might have to wait. The cafΓ© closes at 5 PM. The owner speaks English. It costs 1,980 yen per adult for an hour, including a drink. π’π The cafΓ© is very clean, and the experience is great! #Kyoto
