I was initially a little apprehensive about visiting this owl cafe in Tenjin Fukuoka as I have never been a fan of birds, but I was so glad I mustered enough courage to get up close with these gentle creatures!
The friendly staff (some of whom are English-speaking) were also really helpful in guiding us on how to interact with the owls. There were also clear signs indicating which owls could be touched and which were for viewing only.
The visit is charged on a per pax basis and comes with a choice of hot or cold bottled/canned drink.
Best of all, despite its name, the owl cafe actually also has hedgehogs and kinkajous which one could pet and feed! Even though the owls were clearly the main attraction, these cute little mammalian co-stars were a lot more interactive...
