🖼️The exhibition showcases Brown's contemplation of the five senses through paintings, drawings, and prints. 🌟 Here, Brown's entire range of themes is presented across various media, with monotype and etchings displayed alongside works on paper in ink, watercolor, and gouache. The show also includes Brown's new paintings using UV printing, a technique that first appeared in the artist's work in 2013. 🖼️ Images from early paintings (some even unfinished) are printed on canvas and then layered over, blurring and extending the originals and allowing the artist to explore endless new directions. 🎨🌟 Another significant museum exhibition of Brown's work will run concurrently with the Paula Cooper Gallery show at the Dallas Museum of Art (September 29, 2024 – February 9, 2025) and will travel to the Barnes Foundation in Philadelphia (March 9 – May 25, 2025). 🌆🖼️ 🌟 Cecily Brown: "Themes and Variations" is the largest exhibition of Brown's work to date in the United States and marks the first major presentation of her reconfiguration of art history and contemporary culture. 🌟 🖼️ #NewYork 🌃
