Geneva's Historic French Cuisine at Café du Centre
Enjoying Swiss French cuisine at the century-old Café du Centre, located in the heart of Geneva's Old Town at Place Molard. 🍽️ As you step into the restaurant, you're greeted by the rich aroma of seafood soup, a delightful blend of shrimp, shrimp roe, and an array of vegetables. 🦐 The salmon was incredibly tender, with a crispy skin that added a delightful crunch. Paired with buttery braised vegetables and topped with a few crispy basil leaves, the dish was a symphony of flavors and textures. Crushing the basil leaves over the fish released an extra burst of aroma. 🥣 The dessert was a generous portion of cream puffs filled with caramel and vanilla ice cream, drizzled with dark chocolate sauce. I intended to just take a few bites, but before I knew it, I had devoured the entire plate. The crispy pastry held its shape perfectly, even under the assault of the chocolate sauce and ice cream. 🍼 The restaurant's interior is adorned with several works by Alphonse Mucha, adding a touch of opulent retro charm that perfectly complements the ambiance. As we dined, a light rain began to fall outside. After our meal, we took a leisurely walk, enjoying the fresh, damp air. 🌧️ #GenevaFood #GenevaTravel
