Giant German Pork Knuckle Next to Cologne Cathedral 🍖🏰
When in Cologne, most of the attractions are around the central train station and near the cathedral. In Germany, you've got to try some sauerkraut and pork knuckle. 📋Menu 🍖 Grillhaxe (ca.1.1kg) with sauerkraut salad and fried potatoes with bacon - The big pork knuckle has a crispy skin, and the meat inside can be a bit tough, but it's delicious when paired with sauerkraut. The potatoes are crispy and yummy. 🐖 Schnitzel with mushroom sauce, served with fried potatoes with bacon and mixed greens - The fried pork cutlet is decent, not particularly amazing. You can choose the sauce, and we chose mushroom sauce. 🌭 Currywurst with French fries - The curry powder and sweet-sour sauce with German white sausage served with fries is quite good. 🍺 Gaffel Kölsch from the keg - The most characteristic and traditional beer. 🍻 Gaffel Wiess from the keg - Unfiltered wheat beer. 🥤 Gaffels Fassbrause - Non-alcoholic beer with apple, orange, and lemon flavors. 🕐 Open from 11:00 to 1:00, it gets crowded around 12:00 noon. 💶 Average cost per person is €30-40. Highly recommended 🍞 merzenich - The bread from this store is really delicious, and the pudding is amazing. It's gone in a flash. #CologneCathedral #GermanCuisine #Germany #Cologne #Foodie #CologneFood #GermanFood #CologneExplore
