Glendale’s Tomahawk Steak | A Bit of a Letdown
Let me tell you about my experience with the tomahawk steak here—total miss! 😕😕😕 I ordered it medium-rare, but it came out medium-rare at best… more like rare. To make it worse, it was already sliced when it arrived. I pointed out the issue to the server, but instead of offering to remake it, he suggested reheating the already cut steak. We all know reheating a sliced steak ruins the texture—tough, dry, and nothing like it should be. I just sighed and said, “Never mind, I’ll eat it as is.”😕😕😕 He did seem embarrassed afterward and comped a dessert—chocolate ice cream—but even that was a letdown… it was already a little melted 🥤. Not my best dining moment, to say the least.😕😕 The restaurant did serve the steak on a heated plate, which I thought was a nice touch—supposedly to keep the steak at the right temperature and preserve its texture. I remember thinking, “If they’re this detail-oriented with the plate, the meat must be amazing!” Spoiler: I was way wrong.😕😕 The tomahawk was 34 oz and cost $159, but a huge chunk of that was just bone—hardly any edible meat. I should’ve gone for the 16 oz rib-eye instead, which is only $74 and has no bone. I barely ate two slices (it was way too rare for me!), so my friend ended up finishing the rest 🥩. On the bright side, the duck roll appetizer was actually fantastic! It’s like a Vietnamese-style spring roll—only four pieces, but the texture was so elegant, and it came with crispy fries 🍟. That part saved the meal a little. 📍 Bourbon Steak: 237 S Brand Blvd, Glendale, CA 91210 #LosAngeles #LA #LAFoodie #GlendaleEats #SteakDinner #DiningExperience #FoodDisappointment #VietnameseSpringRolls #BourbonSteakGlendale
