Glendale’s Hidden Elegant Mythic-Style Library
📍 1601 W Mountain St, Glendale, CA 91201📖 The spot I’m introducing today is extremely under-the-radar—probably only known by local residents! Tucked away in a Glendale neighborhood, you’ll drive past rows of cute little houses before spotting this compact, exquisite library at the foot of a hill. 📖This is a proper library through and through, with a crisp white exterior that looks absolutely stunning against the blue sky and green grass. The entrance is lined with classic California-style palm trees—making it so easy to snap great photos 📸. Unfortunately, it was closed when I visited, but I’d seen photos online: the inside of the white building features small study-style reading rooms, cozier than your typical library. It’s perfect for quiet studying or reading—I totally envy the nearby residents who get to use it regularly! 📖Beyond the library and reading rooms, there’s also an art center that hosts small exhibitions from time to time. Not far away, you’ll find a Japanese-style garden with a traditional tea house called The Shoseian Whispering Pine Japanese Tea House, where they serve tea and Japanese confections. But its opening hours are really odd—of course, it was closed the day I went too 😂. 📖Another nearby attraction is the Doctor's House Museum and Gazebo, a charming Victorian-style house. They offer free tours every Sunday, but you must book in advance. It seems really interesting inside—yet again, I missed out on going in 😅. 📖So, all I could do that day was take countless photos of this white, mythic-style building bathed in bright sunlight. None of the indoor spaces were open, but honestly, there were still quite a few people there just to take photos. Many folks were also lounging on the lawn soaking up the sun—the vibe was so chill. I really admire Glendale’s overall atmosphere; every time I visit, I discover something new, and there are always pleasant surprises 😊. #Glendale #LosAngelesHiddenGems #MythicStyleLibrary #LAExploration #ChillVibes
