Goderich | Follow the Queen to visit Canada's best sunset spot
This town, personally endorsed by the Queen, is truly one-of-a-kind. I think Goderich ranks among the most beautiful lakeside spots I’ve ever visited. 🌟 Check-in spots 🏝️ Goderich Main Beach Hailed as "one of the world’s most beautiful sunsets," it’s best to arrive before dusk. 👀👀 💓💓Bring a picnic blanket, sit back, and watch the sun slowly sink into the lake—romantic and healing. When we went, we brought a large picnic blanket, iced sweet wine, tons of snacks, and little cakes. After all, it was a day of indulgence, so we just did whatever made us happy! The beach has an incredibly atmospheric vibe at sunset, perfect for photos. Time your visit right, and you’ll get amazing shots.💕💕 🏖️ Rotary Cove Beach More secluded than the main beach, it has a Boardwalk Trail ideal for jogging, cycling, or strolling hand-in-hand with a loved one 💗. 📍 Goderich Square Visit on Saturdays for the farmers’ market—try fresh local fruits and freshly baked bread. After browsing, sit in the square or grab coffee at a nearby local café ☕️. 🌉 Menesetung Bridge: North Harbour Road The best spot to overlook the Maitland River and Goderich Harbour! It’s also fantastic for fall foliage 🍁. Both sides of the bridge offer stunning views, and many people fish 🐟here. 🌟 Restaurants 🍽️ West Street Willy’s Eatery Said to be the town’s most popular brunch spot. Their fish & chips come highly recommended—almost every table orders them. 👣👣 The fish🐟 is fresh and non-fishy, even for someone like me who doesn’t usually eat fish. I later heard you can upgrade the chips to poutine, which is even better, but we didn’t know that at the time. The salmon (pan-seared) was just okay. We also ordered a "make your own pizza"—definitely add extra feta! Their burgers come with peanut butter, which we noticed after ordering. 🍴 Beach Street Station🍆🍆 Housed in a converted train station, it has a lakeside patio—everyone marvels at the view! Dine while enjoying the of Lake Huron. It’s only open in summer, so call ahead to check. Try the Lake Huron Pickerel—since you’re right by Lake Huron, it’s a must-order.☕☕☕ #Canada#CanadianLife
