Good Food, But Service Needs a Heartbeat 🥑☕🧂

Milk Beach in Queen’s Park is undoubtedly a stylish spot with that breezy Australian café vibe everyone loves. I visited for a late lunch, and while the food had its highlights, the overall experience felt a little... lukewarm. 🍽️ The Food – Simple & Satisfying I ordered the avocado toast with two perfectly poached eggs, crispy bacon, and fried mushrooms. The eggs were runny-yolk perfection, and the bacon and mushrooms added a lovely savory crunch. 🥓🍄 My flat white was also a winner – strong and well-balanced, without being overly milky like some places serve it. ☕👍 That said, the avocado portion felt a bit light – especially for the price. A little more generosity would have made it a real standout. 😶 Service – Competent but Cold Here’s where things fell a bit flat. The server was efficient and timely – no long waits, no mistakes. But there was zero warmth or personality. No smile, no greeting, no effort to make the experience feel welcoming. It felt transactional, not personal – and in a cozy neighborhood spot like this, that human touch really matters. 🌿 Vibe & Setting The space itself is lovely – bright, modern, and relaxed. It’s the kind of place you’d want to linger with a friend or a good book. It’s a shame the service didn’t match the setting. 💡 The Takeaway Milk Beach gets the food almost right, but it’s missing that warm, welcoming energy that turns a good meal into a great memory. With a little more heart from the team, this place could easily earn that fifth star. #MilkBeachLondon #AvocadoToastReview #AustralianCafe #QueensParkEats #FoodOverService
