Good service, great food, too loud when musician is indoors
This spot is one of the top-rated restaurants on Kaua’i—and we ended up eating here three nights in a row! 😆 The reason? We thought we couldn’t dine at the Four Seasons restaurants (except for Views at the golf course) without staying at the resort, based on what its website said. Turns out, the shuttle driver who took us to the ferry at the end of our trip told us that wasn’t the case—oh well, at least we found a great spot to return to! First off, the vibe: It’s one of the island’s go-tos for delicious meals and a popular site for weddings and other celebrations. Just imagine tying the knot or toasting a milestone with Kaua’i’s stunning sunsets as your backdrop—total dreamy vibes 🌅. The decor is charming too: mixed wallpaper, unique lighting features, and varied seating that feels cozy yet fun. There’s also an outdoor seating option, which is usually where the music is—though when rain threatens, they move the music inside (more on that later!). Our three nights had their own little twists: Night 1: We had the misfortune of a not-so-good musician playing inside—and it was SO incredibly loud. Uncomfortably loud, in fact. Because of the noise, everyone was shouting to talk, and it was hard to even hear our server. No PA system, just a monitor cranked up too high. But the silver lining? We had lovely service from Maryann, and the food still shined. Night 2 & 3: Way more enjoyable! Night two had outdoor music (much quieter, and nicer to listen to), and night three had no musician at all—perfect for chatting. Plus, we got to meet Eddie, who took great care of us both nights—friendly, attentive, and made us feel like regulars 🤗. Now, the food—let’s dive in! We loved almost everything, with just one small letdown: The misses: The ahi fish sando. The ahi was way overcooked (we’d asked for medium), and the sandwich overall lacked flavor—disappointing, but it was the only dud. The favorites: Oh, where to start! The pineapple Parker rolls with miso butter were insane—we even got them warmed up for breakfast one morning 🍍. The venison sausage appetizer was packed with rich, savory flavor, the mushroom bucatini was creamy and earthy (so comforting!), and the fried chicken sandwich was crispy, juicy, and hit all the right notes 🍗. And don’t even get us started on the pineapple upside down cake—it’s phenomenal! The caramelized top adds a sweet, sticky perfection that makes it really special 🎂. Other wins: The menu has a fantastic variety (from tacos to shrimp to fresh fish), food was ready quickly every night (no long waits when we were hungry ⏱️), and it’s very Celiac-friendly—great for anyone with gluten needs 🥗. The atmosphere is casual (no stuffy formalities), which we loved, and even on the louder night, the food and service kept us coming back. Overall, we highly recommend this restaurant—it’s a fantastic pick for anyone visiting Kaua’i! Whether you’re here for a quick bite, a celebratory meal, or even three nights in a row, the sunset scenery, delicious eats, friendly staff, and cozy vibe make it a total standout ✨. #KauaiTopEats #ThreeNightsInARow #DeliciousIslandEats #CozyRestaurantVibes #PineappleParkerRolls #CeliacFriendlyDining
