Great Berlin Weekend Spot | Stunning Natural Park 🌳🍄
After our autumn outing to Krummer Lanke last week and noticing many friends' interest in mushroom picking🍄, this week we happily gathered four friends to visit a lesser-known Berlin attraction—Jungfernheide National Park, which turned out to be a delightful surprise! Itinerary: Take the U7 to Halemweg, then it's a 7 or 8-minute walk to one of the park entrances. Recommendation Index: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The park is vast; my friends and I walked for over 2 hours and probably covered only half of it, making it a place worth visiting multiple times for fresh experiences. Its location is relatively close to the city center, so it doesn't take too much travel time. We engaged in mushroom picking, birdwatching, and hiking here: as you walk into the woods, you'll find many large and small mushrooms. By the lake, there are various birds: wild ducks, mandarin ducks, swans, falcons, etc. The lake water is very clear, and you can see the bottom. We walked along the lake for about an hour and even encountered a swan🦢 asking us for food. The park also features a sculpture garden; although the sculptures are quite abstract, they are indeed very interesting. In addition, the park has many children's playground facilities (slides, swings, small football fields), making it perfect for family outings.
