Great for the Younger Generation – An Honest Review of the Riviera Sle

We recently traveled on the Riviera Sleeper from Paddington to Penzance – an experience that left us with mixed but memorable impressions! Here’s a detailed breakdown of our journey: You can access the First Class Lounge at Platform 1 before departure 🚉✨, where complimentary drinks and snacks are served. Showers are also available – a nice touch before a long journey! 🍪☕🚿 Once on board, we found the cabins to be quite compact. While functional and cleverly designed, they may not be the most comfortable for older travelers or those with mobility needs. The lower berth is noticeably narrow, while the upper berth is surprisingly wider – a curious design choice! 🛏️⬆️ Sleep quality was unfortunately not the best – the motion and occasional noise made it difficult to rest deeply through the night 😴⛔. That said, the lounge car was a lovely space to relax, with complimentary snacks and drinks available throughout the journey 🥂🍎. A standout feature was the truly exceptional staff 👏❤️. They were attentive, professional, and kind throughout – a real credit to the service! While this type of travel is probably better suited to the younger generation (or those more adaptable to compact spaces), we're glad we experienced it.
