Great Italian Food! ๐๐ฎ๐นโจ
Sean Carter Archer and his wife Virginia are crafting some of the best Italian cuisine in San Antonio at Pazzo Pastaria. You might blink and miss this spot โ it's located just south of the big HEB on Nacogdoches. We discovered them on the San Antonio Restaurants Facebook page and decided to give it a try. They're also part of the San Antonio Restaurant Gold Club, offering perks to its members. ๐๐ณ Sean is truly a refined local chef with extensive experience from Chez Ardid and other renowned kitchens. His food reminds me of Boston's North End โ authentic and full of soul. Virginia manages the front of the house with grace, personally checking in with every guest to ensure a warm and welcoming experience. The place is cozy, so reservations are highly recommended! ๐ฏ๏ธ๐จ๐ณ The bread served with olive oil and balsamic dip is a delightful start. While many places serve pasta, Chef Sean makes fresh pasta daily โ you can tell by its perfect al dente bite. If you think pasta is just about mac and cheese from a box, this will be a completely different โ and wonderful โ experience! ๐โค๏ธ I also love that salads and many main dishes come in small and large sizes. Even the small Caesar salad is bigger than most side salads elsewhere, and the dressing has a lovely garlicky kick. ๐ฅ๐ง The menu offers plenty of fantastic choices. My wife ordered the Pasta Carbonara โ the sauce was incredible. I went for the Bucatini with Florentine chicken, mushrooms, and fresh spinach in a white wine butter garlic sauce โ flavorful but not overpowering. ๐ท๐ Using the San Antonio Restaurant Gold Club app, we enjoyed a complimentary blueberry sauce panna cotta โ creamy, smooth, and the perfect sweet ending to our meal. ๐ฎ๐ They also clearly state the credit card fee on the menu and offer a 3% discount for cash payments โ transparent and customer-friendly! ๐ตโ #PazzoPastaria #ItalianFood #SanAntonioEats #FreshPasta #LocalChef #GoldClubPerks #DateNight #FoodieHeaven #MustTry ๐๐๐ฅ
