๐Great Sand Dunes National Park 3/63 ๐๐๐๐ Totally worth the 4+ hour drive from Denver! The first glimpse from afar was absolutely breathtaking ๐ฒโจ. Unlike Indiana Dunes or other small desert dunes Iโve seen, this one is massiveโlike a mountain of sand ๐๏ธ๐งก. I climbed for two hours and only made it 2/5 of the way up before giving upโฆ my legs were done for ๐ ๐. Fun fact: Indiana Dunes were formed by glacial melting millions of years ago, while these giant dunes were shaped by mountain weathering, river flows, and monsoon winds over time ๐๐จ.
