📍Great Sand Dunes National Park 3/63 🌟🌟🌟🌟 Totally worth the 4+ hour drive from Denver! The first glimpse from afar was absolutely breathtaking 😲✨. Unlike Indiana Dunes or other small desert dunes I’ve seen, this one is massive—like a mountain of sand 🏔️🧡. I climbed for two hours and only made it 2/5 of the way up before giving up… my legs were done for 😅💀. Fun fact: Indiana Dunes were formed by glacial melting millions of years ago, while these giant dunes were shaped by mountain weathering, river flows, and monsoon winds over time 🌊💨.
