Guide | π¨π¦ Spring Trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake
Niagara-on-the-Lake is my favorite weekend getaway near Toronto, especially when spring is in full bloom with flowers in blossom.ππ Though it's only half an hour away from the Niagara Falls, it's far from the hustle and bustle, instantly transforming into the ideal holiday scene one can imagine.βοΈ π Prince of Wales Hotelπ Founded in 1864, it was named after the Duke and Duchess of York who stayed here during their visit in 1901. π The interior decor and room designs have retained their original style, making it a perfect spot for taking photosπ¨ π BeauChapeau Hat Shop It's a hat specialty store I visit every time. There's a wide range of hats of various types and brands, with options ranging from tens of dollars to hundreds of dollars.π΅ There are also many well-known brands, so there's always one that suits you. You can also get a touch of British style and their obsession with hatsπ© π Niagara Apothecary It's a pharmacy that operated from 1820 to 1964. Later, it was restored and turned into a small museum with real objects.π It opens on summer weekends, allowing visitors to relive the daily life of people a hundred years agoπ§βπ¬ π Treadwell Cuisine It's a restaurant I absolutely love. πΉ The first time I went, I was captivated by the confit duck leg. Later, when I went again, this dish seemed to be off the menu, but the mussels and beef are also delicious (you can check out my previous posts)πΉ π Queenβs Royal Park Gazebo A small park by the lake,π just a five-minute walk east along Queen Street. You can rest here for a picnic. On clear days, you can even see the Toronto skyline on the other side of the lakeποΈ π Museum Who would have thought such a small town has a museum? It commemorates the former capital of Upper Canada, telling stories of wars and the city's development through many pictures and objects. π There are also guided tours every day at 11 am on summer weekendsπΊοΈ Of course, you can also arrange a winery tasting tour. You can check out my previous posts on my homepage by searching for "waterfall"π This year, spring in Toronto came later than usual, with continuous rain and repeated temperature fluctuations of warming up and cooling down. πΎ It seems that here, the saying "spring rain is as precious as oil" is only poetic, not realistic. However, spring will eventually arrive, and flowers will eventually bloom.π·π· #BeautifulSceneryontheJourney#Toronto
