GW Fins
Okay, maybe the title is a little clickbaity... but among all the amazing Southern food spots in New Orleans, I truly believe GW Fins is on another level! 🚀✨ NOLA has no shortage of great restaurants, but one that skillfully blends different cuisines while maintaining perfect balance? That’s rare—and GW Fins does it beautifully. Their menu is creative yet incredibly delicious. Highly recommend! 😋 For starters, the Lobster Dumplings were subtly seasoned and so tender. 🥟 The Bluefin Tuna Tartare topped with avocado and wasabi-marinated mango was right in every Asian food lover’s comfort zone! 🥑🥭 The complimentary biscuits were absolutely irresistible—a total sugar-butter bomb, but I still had two! 🧈🍞😅 The signature Scalibut combines scallop and halibut, creating a wonderful gradient in texture. The risotto, which tasted more like local-style grits, was creamy and satisfying. 🐟🍚 A green sauce and fresh green beans cut through the richness—I’d rate it 8/10! But I might have loved the Mississippi Redfish even more! Served with perfectly fried shrimp that were seasoned well and not greasy at all. You can really feel the chef’s attention to detail—each main came with two different sauces, adding so much depth and flavor. 👨🍳💖 Overall, it was an incredibly satisfying meal. The only letdown? The peach sorbet—it tasted a bit artificial. 🍑❌ Have you been to GW Fins? What’s your favorite fine dining spot in New Orleans?
