Gyokudo Art Museum
πΏπThis time, it's still a Japanese garden with karesansui (dry landscape). I had long heard about the Gyokudo Art Museum located in Ome City. With a day left of my 18 ticket, I rushed there on a day off. After getting off at JR O-Taki Station, it took a 10-15 minute walk to reach this museum hidden among mountains and rivers. ππΈ There's a shortcut through the forest, but when I visited in late summer, there were an unbelievable number of flying insects and spiders. πΏπIf you take the main road from the parking lot side, it's a bit of a detour, but at least you won't be bothered by mosquitoes. This place is both an art museum and a tranquil Japanese garden. ππΈ Outside the garden, there are mountains and water. From a distance, it seemed like people were playing in the river. I just took a look at the garden, and when I got back to the station, I saw information about hiking. I'd like to come again if I have the chance. πΏπ A friend asked me: "Why are the stones in the garden surrounded by white gravel in circles?" ππΈI said: "Look at the stones standing in the rushing river and see what's around them."
