Hachi – A Mixed Experience 【Las Vegas Food Journal】🍢✨

Chicken Skin ⭐️⭐️ Not crispy, a bit chewy, flavor just okay. It came toward the end, and I was already too full to enjoy it 😓. Chicken Thigh ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Two flavors: Shio and Citron Pepper. Both were slightly overcooked — not as tender as expected. The pepper one was surprisingly spicy 🌶️. Fried Oyster ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Battered and fried… doesn’t make it better 😅. Tasted like any other fried item, with a slightly off aftertaste near the innards. Why bother? Grilled Fresh Water Eel ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’m not big on eel, but even I can admit — this would be a hit for eel lovers! A bit sweet, with that classic grilled eel flavor 🐟. Grilled Scallop ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Missing that sweet, fresh scallop taste. The skirt part was a bit tough — nothing special. Honey Toast ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I was stuffed, but still managed to eat most of it 🍞. A tad too sweet, but great texture overall. Wish the ice cream came in a trio of flavors! Kagoshima Wagyu ⭐️⭐️ Too greasy 😬 — felt like biting into straight fat. Needed something to cut the richness after every bite. Not recommended. Mochi Cheese Bacon ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ The cheese and bacon weren’t very prominent. But once you accept that, it’s pretty tasty! Would be better with crispier, more noticeable bacon 🥓. Monkfish Liver ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Smooth texture, well-seasoned. No fishy taste — quite nice! Oyako Don ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Chicken was tender, seasoning balanced. The ginger strips added a nice touch — solid bowl 🍚. Premium Beef Tongue ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Really good! Thick-cut, with perfect Maillard reaction on the surface and just-right seasoning. A must-try 👅🔥. Seared Salmon Belly Nigiri ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hard to go wrong here 😋. The seared salmon belly was fragrant and paired perfectly with the seasoned rice. Shiitake Mushroom Butter ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Bonito flakes + shiitake mushrooms = umami overload! Fresh and flavorful 🍄. Tako Wasabi ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A lifesaver when you’re overwhelmed by greasy wagyu 💚. No fishy taste (maybe thanks to the wasabi). Tsukune ⭐️⭐️ Pretty average — slightly charred outside but dry inside. Could be better. #LasVegasFood #Hachi #Yakitori 🏮🥢
