Half-Day Family Trip | Exploring Historic Sonoma Plaza
🌞🏰Today I took the kids on a fun and educational little adventure — we visited the charming and historical downtown Sonoma! This half-day trip was relaxed yet full of discoveries, perfect for a weekend family outing! 👨👩👧👦💖 📍 First stop: Sonoma City Hall 🏛️. This classic symmetrical building sits right in the heart of the town square. Its simple, elegant style makes it a true local landmark. The kids were instantly drawn to its grand yet friendly appearance! 📸✨ ⛪ Next, we visited the Sonoma Mission — the northernmost and last-established of California’s 21 historic Spanish missions. It’s incredibly well-preserved and offers a fascinating glimpse into 19th-century life. Walking through the mission, my kids were full of questions about the Spanish missionaries and California’s early history. A real-life history lesson came to life! 🕯️📖✨ All around are beautifully preserved historical sites — from old barracks and spacious plazas to leafy parks, along with lovely craft shops and cozy restaurants 🍴🍃. We wandered around, learning and having fun without even feeling tired! 🥾🧡 🌟 You don’t need to travel far to give kids a hands-on experience with history and culture. If you’re in the Bay Area, I highly recommend bringing your family here for a weekend visit. Come explore California’s past together! 🎉📜 #US #CA #Sonoma
