Half-Day Trip Guide to Nördlingen, the "Attack on Titan" Town

Transportation: I landed at Nuremberg Airport and used the Bavaria Day Ticket (€32, valid from 9 AM to 3 AM the next day for unlimited travel on regional trains, excluding IC/ICE). For groups, each additional person only costs €10—perfect for traveling with friends! 🚆💨 Pro tip: Choose routes with fewer transfers since German trains can sometimes be delayed. Exploring the Town: After arriving at Nördlingen Station, enter the town through the nearest Deining Gate. Head straight to the tallest tower (you can’t miss it!) and start climbing! The stairs are a bit steep, but the view from the top is absolutely worth it. ‍♂️🌄 The kind ticket-seller even lent me a cloak for photos—super atmospheric! From the tower, you’ll feel like you’re inside Attack on Titan! 🏰⚔️ Stamp Rally Adventure: I met two fellow travelers who helped me take photos (thank you!!), and we teamed up for a stamp-collecting game! 🎨🖊️ The tourist center provides a stamp card (though every checkpoint also has them). When we asked, they said it was a game for kids, but we joined in anyway (lol). The town has five gates, each with a wooden box and a stamp. Walking along the medieval walls, we saw many fan-made artworks left by visitors. After collecting all five stamps, you can claim a small prize at the tourist center—a pig medal, candy, and a balloon. 🐷🎈 Cute, but maybe best left for the kids (unless you’re young at heart!). Extra Time? ⏳ The whole adventure took me under 3 hours. If you have more time, check out the local museums or the vintage train collection outside the town—great for history and transport enthusiasts! 🚂📜 Afterward, I hopped on a train to Munich… but that’s another story! #Nördlingen #AttackOnTitan #GermanyTravel #HiddenGems
