I wandered aimlessly, watching pigeons pace by the fountain, elderly folks reading newspapers on benches. Honestly, it felt a bit deserted—many shops closed, streets quiet enough to hear my own footsteps. But that faded Western charm gave the city walk a surreal, time-warped feel. 📍Magoffin Home: A Former Mayor’s Century-Old Residence This 19th-century adobe house was home to former mayor Joseph Magoffin, preserving period furniture and living traces. Sadly, a guided tour is required to enter inside, so we just snapped photos in the garden. Red clay walls, wooden window frames, cactus clusters—silent as an old painting under the Texas sun 🏡📸. 📍Fort Bliss: Saluting the Warriors of the Sky As the second-largest U.S. Army base, Fort Bliss holds a serene military cemetery.
