Hamburg, Germany – Expected a "No-Nonsense Industrial City, But Surpr
It was my first time in Hamburg. I originally imagined it as a straightforward, industrial-style “no-nonsense city,” but I was pleasantly surprised: the urban architecture is super modern and neat, even quite artistic! There are many local homeware and clothing stores on the streets with excellent taste—though the prices are generally high (shoes start at €300) 👟. The view of Hamburg from my hotel window in the morning was beautiful. This time, I stayed at the Hamburg Westin—highly recommended! The hotel is brand-new, fully equipped with great facilities and service. Its building even won a design award back in the day. There’s a concert hall right downstairs, and the surrounding area is convenient for dining and shopping 🛍️🏨. On the last day, I caught a concert at the hall downstairs 🎶. Hamburg’s famous “window display street” (a well-known “attraction”) is right next to the police station—truly “the most dangerous place is the safest place”! A colleague took me there, and apparently, it’s usually not open to women. I also caught a glimpse of the sunset glow when checking into the hotel on the first day 🌇. #HamburgGermanyTravel #HamburgWestin
