Hamburger America📍Pure and American Burger Culture (1)
🗽In 2023, documentary director, food writer, TV host, and historian George Motz finally opened his own burger joint in downtown Manhattan. Unlike the omakase restaurants with an average cost of over $500 per person, this street food spot hasn't caused much of a stir on the Chinese Internet. Indeed, in the glitzy Manhattan, a burger can seem rather down-to-earth. 🍔 🗽 Hamburger America sticks to the route of retro and classic burgers. It doesn't pursue modern and fancy flavors but returns to the essence of burgers —— simplicity, purity, and locality. Using the traditional smash technique, it sources handmade, freshly ground beef patties, classic white bread, and the most basic condiments: onions, pickles, and mustard. 🍔 There are no complicated sauces or overly fancy platings. It can be said to be the true "American burger fundamentalism." #NewYork 🗽
