Hattie B's Hot Chicken Grand Opening at The Domain in Austin

While shopping at The Domain, I unexpectedly stumbled upon the grand opening of the legendary Nashville hot chicken spot – as a true foodie, I had to try it! Right at the entrance, everyone received a complimentary tote bag and some fun goodies. We both ordered the Quarter Bird (dark meat) at Medium Spicy level: πŸ— Quarter Bird Wings To be honest, there was no noticeable difference between the wings and the legs in terms of look and taste – so just pick one! Next time, I’ll try something different. The skin was incredibly crispy and flavorful, and the meat was super juicy. The medium spice level definitely packed a punch for someone like me who usually goes for mild. As a side, I got the cole slaw – creamy and perfect for cutting through the richness. πŸ— Quarter Bird Legs As mentioned above, it felt pretty much the same as the wings. Next time, I might go for the Jumbo Wings since the staff mentioned these were smaller wings – I imagine they’d be even more flavorful. My side was the bacon cheddar grits – cheesy, savory, and so satisfying. The first few bites were absolutely heavenly, but by the time I stood up to leave, I felt completely weighed down by the grease. Still, it’s totally worth trying! I’d definitely go back – but maybe only when that next fried chicken craving hits after a good recovery period πŸ˜‚ #AustinEats #HattieBs #HotChicken #AustinFoodScene
