Havana Restaurants | Affordable Delicacies Hidden in the Old Town 🍴

Wandering and dining in Old Havana, you’ll always stumble upon delightful little spots—and this time, I’m recommending two “kings of value for money” that’ll satisfy both your wallet and your taste buds~ 🦞 El Chanchullero: A Lobster Lover’s Paradise 🥳 Tucked away in an alley of the old town, this tiny eatery has an unassuming storefront but is so popular for its lobster that you’ll definitely wait in line during peak hours! Locals and tourists squeeze together at shared tables, creating an incredibly lively atmosphere~ Two Ways to Enjoy Lobster: I’ve tried both flavors and neither disappointed! 😋 One is the classic garlic butter flavor, where the lobster meat soaks in melted butter, with garlic aroma seeping into every fiber—you could even eat two bowls just by dipping bread in the sauce; The other has a slight spiciness from Latin American chili sauce, which is more appetizing and perfect for those who prefer bold flavors. 🌶️ The lobsters are not small, with firm and springy meat—definitely fresh and cooked to order~ Amazing Prices: Priced at 1,800 and 2,100 pesos (I can’t remember exactly, but they’re definitely among the cheapest in the old town). Converted to RMB, it’s just a few dozen yuan, letting you enjoy “lobster freedom” at half the price of restaurants in scenic areas! 💰 Convenient Location: Not far from the Capitol Building, it’s a 10-minute walk when you’re tired from exploring. Just search for the name on Google Maps to navigate—following the crowd waiting in line will never lead you wrong~ 🗺️ 🍦 Yumyum: Cuba’s Version of “Comfort Ice Cream” 🍧 After eating lobster, you must finish with dessert—and Yumyum Ice Cream is my top choice for repeat visits! Blindly Choosing Flavors Works: I’ve tried mango, coconut, and chocolate, and all are great. The mango flavor has fresh fruit pieces 🍓, the coconut tastes like biting into frozen coconut meat 🥥, and the chocolate is rich without being cloying, with a strong milky flavor~ Unbeatable Value: Three scoops cost less than 700 pesos, which is just over a dozen yuan in RMB. You can stroll slowly through the old town while eating, making it super pleasant. 🚶♀️ Easy to Find: Also in the old town, not far from El Chanchullero—taking a walk there after eating lobster is the perfect way to digest~ 👣 Both spots are in Old Havana, not far from the Capitol Building, and easy to find on Google Maps. If you want to eat well without spending much in Havana, these two are absolute must-tries~ ✨ #Havana #HavanaFood #CubaTravel #OldTownFood #AffordableEats #LobsterFeast
