Have You Tried This Sichuan Restaurant in Carrollton Yet? 🌶️😋

I came here after seeing rave reviews on Xiaohongshu — but as soon as I saw the sign and location, I thought to myself… some things never change 😅. 🌶️ Must-order: The Crispy Fish was the star — bouncy, flavorful, and seriously addictive! 👍 The Couple’s Beef Slice (Fu Qi Fei Pian) was also solid — tender, well-sliced, and nicely seasoned. 🌶️ West Lake Beef Soup was a letdown though — it wasn’t the classic clear, silky version I expected. They added mushrooms, which made it taste okay, but it lost that smooth texture and visual appeal 🍄❌. 🌶️ The Stir-Fried Pork Kidney had a slightly off taste. We even asked the server to try it — she said it was normal, but something just didn’t feel right. Thankfully, no stomach issues afterward 🐖🤔. 🌶️ Not a photogenic spot — the decor is your typical old-school Chinese restaurant. No Instagrammable corners here 📸🚫. 🌶️ Service was understaffed — only two servers for about five tables on a weekday night. It was hard to get anyone’s attention 😓… though they were nice once they came over. All in all — an okay experience. Y1S1 (to be honest), it doesn’t beat those established Sichuan spots yet. The owner might need to step up their game if they want to stand out 🧐👨🍳. #DinnerTonight #SichuanFood #SichuanCuisine #AuthenticChinese #HiddenGems #ChineseRestaurant #FoodReview #CarrolltonEats 🥢🔥🥩
