Special Forces-Style Trip Day 1 Island Vintage Coffee for (viral breakfast) 🥯 (If there's no space, go next door to the wine bar—same menu) Waikiki Beach Dukes Market 🌺 (You can buy hair clips here—cheaper than in stores) Marugame Udon 🍜 Genius Bar for loco moco 😋 Day 2 Diamond Head Crater ⛰️ (Reservation required—we booked for 6 AM to watch the sunrise 🌄) Ono Poke (pretty good) Leonards Bakery 🍩 (Overrated—not as amazing as foreigners say 😭) Manoa Falls 🌲 (Lots of people swim in the waterfall) Day 3 Hanauma Bay Snorkeling 🤿 (Reservations required two days in advance—we got 10:30 AM tickets, but earlier is better) Moena Cafe (Their pancakes are ridiculously huge 🤣 but delicious) Day 4 Rent a car for island road trip Green World Coffee Farm ☕️ (If interested, you can visit nearby Dole Plantation—we skipped it) Matsumoto Shave Ice 🍧 (Cheap and tasty 😋 + shopped at nearby stores) Kualoa Ranch Horseback Riding 🐎 (Reservation required) Bought food on the way back and watched the sunset at Lanikai Beach 🌅 Day 5 Shopping 🛍️ (Honolulu Cookie, Moni, Miffy) Waikiki shopping, then headed to Ala Moana 🛍️ (Brandy Melville + Foodland) Day 6 Morning flight to Maui Personal interest-based activities—we went to Wailea Beach + Kihei (whale watching or Haleakalā sunset) Day 7 Road to Hana 🚘 (Difficult drive—be careful! ⚠️ Leave early and return before sunset ⚠️ We didn’t finish the loop—turned back at Wailua Falls) Recommendation: Pick only the most interesting stops—otherwise, you won’t have enough time 😭 Each spot is a quick look-and-go. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hookipa Beach (Wanted to see turtles but didn’t spot any 🥲) ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Garden of Eden 🌳 ($20/person—peacocks 🦚, but small and underwhelming. Skip if you want.) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Red Sand Beach (Favorite spot! Few people, stunning views) Several waterfalls along the way (some require entry fees—research in advance!) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Black Sand Beach (Most popular spot—tickets required. Best to book afternoon slots since it takes 2-3 hours to drive there.) Day 8 Return flight ✈️ Transportation Tips 🚘 Oahu: Take the bus, Uber, or rent a car 🚘 Maui: Must rent a car!
