✨There's truly nothing like the happiness of a delicious meal! I just couldn't wait to share this joy with everyone, hehe! I stumbled upon this restaurant in Kamppi called Hoku; I feel like I've passed by it several times but never went in. This time, I was drawn in by a dish on the menu featuring snow crab, shrimp, and sausage stuffed sea bass – it sounded incredibly tempting! So, I decided to give it a try. ✨For the appetizer, I had Thai beef skewers, which I loved for their sweet and spicy flavors! And there was the soft-shell crab I hadn't had in ages, fried to a perfect crisp! The main course was steamed sea bass stuffed with snow crab meat, shrimp, and sausage bits, all smothered in a rich French white sauce. The first bite was a burst of sweetness from the snow crab and shrimp, combined with the delicate flavor of the sea bass, creating an incredibly smooth and irresistible texture! ✨The sausage's aroma was subtle but left a lingering, savory aftertaste. The only downside was that the dish was a bit heavy overall. Although the sauce included tomatoes and lemon juice to cut through the richness, the white sauce was a bit too thick, slightly overshadowing the natural flavors of the ingredients. A lighter touch might have been better. ✨The sausage flavor was indeed very mild and could easily go unnoticed if you weren't paying attention, but I still enjoyed the dish! Another main course we ordered was fish as well, but this time it was a different type of sea bass, grilled to a crispy skin perfection! ✨Served over a bed of bok choy and drizzled with a tangy, spicy sauce made from soy sauce, lime, and chili – it was divine! The sauce was so good that it had me cleaning my plate of rice in no time. Compared to the previous main course, I preferred this one; it was perfectly balanced, fragrant, refreshing, and not greasy at all. ✨Lastly, their yuzu-flavored caramelized crème brûlée was also quite excellent! And their coffee, made with a well-known Hawaiian brand, Lion Macadamia's nutty coffee, had a delightful, nutty flavor.
