Guys, if you have time during your stay in Kathmandu, Nepal, Nagarkot is a great choice! 🐾 ⏯️Today, I'm sharing all my travel experiences with you. It's a foolproof guide—just save it and go📍 📍 Location: Nagarkot🌤️ 💰 Transportation: Taking a taxi from Thamel costs about 1,500 Nepali rupees. The car can only reach the village at the foot of the mountain. 🌋 From there, there are two ways to go up: either start a one-and-a-half-hour hike uphill, or take a motorcycle. We didn't take a motorcycle then; 👀 ❄️there was a foreigner in our group who loved hiking, so we followed along. Later, we realized taking a motorcycle was really a wise move. When you go, you can ask about the price in advance—it'll save you a lot of energy💪 🌄 Viewing platforms: Near the top, the first relatively quiet viewing platform is perfect for enjoying peaceful moments and savoring the scenery in silence. Walk another 20-30 minutes up to the highest point of the mountain—the view is amazing, so there are more people there.🗾 🕊️🕊️From both platforms, you can see the magnificent snow-capped mountains and overlook the Kathmandu Valley covered in clouds and mist. The scenery is absolutely stunning! 🚗 Return trip: When going back to Thamel, we took a taxi directly from the top, which cost 2,200 Nepali rupees. 🌽 We passed a suspension bridge on the way—no entrance fee, and I highly recommend getting off to walk across it.🌲 The experience is top-notch! We got back to Thamel around 6 PM. 💖 Travel feelings: I have to say, climbing the mountain totally exhausted me, but the moment I saw the snow-capped mountains, I really felt it was all worth it! 🐙 That sense of shock and satisfaction, especially when you can sit down and calm your mind for a while—you can only truly understand it by experiencing it yourself.🍐 📌 A kind tip: If you plan to go to Pokhara later, you should think carefully about coming to Nagarkot. 🎋🎋 🌲🌲After all, the journey is quite far and a bit tiring.
