Walking in Nepal—Encountering the small town of Bandipur
😊😊Bandipur Town—A Fairy Descended to Earth Today, the drive from Chitwan to Pokhara would take another 6 hours, which sounded tiring.😍 🙉But the guide said we’d stop midway at Bandipur, an important town on the Ancient Tea Horse Road. The car 🚗wound its way up the mountain roads. What was interesting was that you could look back at the hills you’d already traversed, gazing all the way to the distant snow-capped mountains. It felt as if we were climbing cliffs or walking👣👣 in the sky. To pass the time on the bumpy road, Suwen sang Nepalese folk songs. ☕ When asked what Chinese songs he knew, wow—he knew quite a lot! He couldn’t stop singing: Sweet Honey, The Moon Represents My Heart... 💗💗 This outstanding graduate of the Confucius Institute was impressive, and he remembered all the lyrics. 🍒 And so, to Teresa Teng’s How Can I Say, the car reached the mountaintop.🍭 On a platform about the size of a football field, some locals sat, lazily soaking up the sun. 🌟 We marveled at how far and high we’d climbed, at the unobstructed view of the distant snow-capped mountains, and most of all, at today’s blue sky and white clouds. 🍑 The sky was as blue as polished sapphire or finely woven blue brocade, dazzlingly bright. Bits of white cloud danced freely across it, creating a sense of ever-changing motion and carefree ease. 🍫 Some looked like flying phoenixes, while eagles with outstretched wings seemed to compete with them; others resembled the floating dust of immortals, leaving a trail of celestial beauty—truly breathtaking.🏖️🏖️ The untouched land, clean air, and towering mountains⛰️⛰️—nature is truly magical. Looking at the 800-year-old banyan and cotton trees nearby, you can’t help but feel these scenes have a spiritual essence, inspiring longing. The guide pointed to the red edges of the clouds, saying, “That’s auspicious light—you’re blessed.” Indeed, to witness such a moving sight is a blessing in itself.🌤️🌤️ 🐾🐾Walking into the town, the buildings lining the streets are mostly red-brick structures with carved wooden windows, flower and tree fences, and unique stone awnings outside. The main street is only about 500 meters long. Strolling on the smooth, polished stone paths, you can’t help but pause at its antique charm and simple clarity.🍩 Gazing at the distant mountains, you can almost imagine the old Tea Horse Road: groups of mule caravans, the clear, melodious sound of bells. Every journey the caravans undertook was a test of life and death. 🍡 The road’s hardships were extraordinary, yet the magnificent natural scenery along the way likely stirred people’s hidden courage, strength, and endurance, elevating their souls and highlighting the true meaning and greatness of life. The Tea Horse Road was, by nature, a path of transcendence for the human spirit.👀👀 This is where Nepal’s Newari traditional culture is best preserved, known as a “living Newari museum.” 🎁🎁 🌼🌼With its simple environment, honest people, and unique scenery, it’s like a fairy descended to earth—endowed with celestial grace, (spiritual charm), and dignity. #Nepal#BandipurNepal
