Hidden Gem Cabin Near Eugene, Oregon 🏡

During my trip to Oregon (check my previous post for the full itinerary!), a friend booked this incredible cabin—and it totally exceeded all expectations! It’s just a 30-minute drive from the University of Oregon and roughly 2.5 hours from Portland—perfect for a long weekend getaway or short holiday. If you’re in the area, this spot is a must-try! 🌟 Cabin Location & Scenery It sits on a small hill. The owners provide a detailed address and navigation tips, and you’ll see small road signs near the property—super easy to find! Driving through the tiny forest to get there feels like a dream; the views are a solid 10/10 💯. But when we finally spotted the cabin? Our eyes lit up instantly—it was even more charming in person! 🌟 About the Cabin Size & Operation: There are 6 rooms total, run by a lovely couple. They bought the place in April 2020 and opened it to guests in September. Thanks to the pandemic, they held off on promotion and planned to take it slow until COVID eased—so they were shocked when we found their cabin! That means the facilities are brand new; even many board games in the common areas were still unopened 🎲. Common Areas: There are around 4 shared spaces, each stocked with board games—ideal for groups of friends to hang out. There’s even an indoor pool! It wasn’t fully ready when we visited, but the owners offered to let us use it if we wanted. They also left chocolates for us on the second floor, and all the water in the common area fridge was free—such sweet touches! 🍫💧 🌟 Room Details A couple in our group stayed in the king bed room, and it was so fancy! The balcony and hot tub were private to their room—plus, the common area in was right outside their back door. Total value for money! ✨ My friend and I stayed in a twin-bed room with a private bathroom (it’s just outside the room). The bathroom was spacious and spotlessly clean 🛁. 🌟 Breakfast & Stargazing Complimentary Breakfast: The owners prepared a delicious homemade breakfast (included in the room rate!)—check out Photo 6. There was so much food, we only remembered to take a photo halfway through eating! The waffles, strawberry jam, and cream were all made from scratch 🧇🍓. Stargazing Magic: Once it got dark, the sky filled with stars! . Pro tip: The last two generations of iPhone Pro have a night mode—set the exposure to the max , and you’ll get amazing starry sky shots! Also, bring sparklers 🎇—photos under the stars with sparklers look absolutely stunning! 📍 Cabin Info Name: Mount Tom House Booking: Available on Booking.com, Airbnb, and their official website.
