Hidden Gem French Cuisine in the Upper East Side - Majorelle

Let me share a little-known French gem in the Upper East Side, Majorelle. Nestled inside the Lowell Hotel, it exudes an old money vibe. Their afternoon tea is a collaboration with Dior (I’ll write about that in another post). The best part? Its obscurity means you might just get the joy of having the place to yourself if you’re lucky. 😏 Here’s what I tried at Majorelle: Complimentary amuse-bouche (didn’t catch the name, my bad 🙄) Coquille Saint Jacques À La Bretonne This dish with scallops was a fun and aromatic treat, though not particularly large. 🩐 Poulpe Grille, Pomme De Terre Au Paprika Grilled octopus with potatoes in smoked paprika was quite tasty. Octopus fans, don’t miss this one! 🐙 Magret De Canard, Pommes Sarladaise The duck breast was juicy and delicious, paired with crispy potato flowers in a savory salad dressing. 🩆 Cabillaud Au Curry, Rutabaga Et Chou De Bruxelles Wild cod with curry and Brussels sprouts was a pleasant surprise. Not too salty, and the fish was tender. 🐟 Overall, it was a nice experience. The food is consistently at a one-Michelin-star level. If you appreciate flowers, old money style, and the thrill of having a place to yourself, give Majorelle a try. 😉 #NewYork #NewYorkFood #NewYorkFrenchCuisine #FrenchRestaurantsInManhattan #FrenchCuisine #NYCFrenchRestaurant #NYCFrenchRomanticRestaurant #NYCDatingSpots #NYCDateNight
